Farmers Market
This was a group project done for my Construction Documents class in 2022. The project consists of a Farmers Market in downtown Houston, TX. It is a Type IB mixed occupancy building with a gross square footage of 15,000 SF for the first level. In total there are two levels with the second floor having a void in the center overlooking the 1st.

The class was mainly to take a project you created, in this case it was my group mate’s project he did for a previous Studio, and make construction documents for it. This was the introduction to the majority of my classmates’ introduction to the construction document process so there was a bit of a learning curve to be had. All in all I feel that the end product we produced was a success and it even got praise from the teacher with how well developed the 50% set turned out.

Even though, by this time, I had done my fair share of construction documents and could have been the “project manager” for this group, I felt it would have benefited someone with less experience under their belt to assume the role. One student took the challenge and he gathered all the necessary information, coordinated the effort, set meetings, and all the other things PMs are required to do and got the project done and finished before the deadline.
